Behaviour policy
1. Aims
This policy aims to provide a consistent approach to behaviour management, define what we consider to be unacceptable behaviour, and outline how pupils are expected to behave.
2. Expectations
- Be ready to learn
- Be respectful to everyone
- Be safe in and around school
3. Rewards and sanctions
Positive behaviour is recognised through praise, house points and certificates. Sanctions are applied consistently and proportionately, and may include a verbal reminder, loss of break time or a meeting with parents.
4. Suspensions and permanent exclusions
Only the headteacher can suspend or permanently exclude a pupil, following the DfE guidance on suspension and permanent exclusion.
